A self-selected cluster of batchmates occupying rooms 401–405 who have collectively decided, by unspoken mutual agreement, that the rest of the batch is beneath their social bandwidth. They do not attend batch events. They do not initiate conversations. They move through campus like they are in a different, better-funded film with a more exclusive guest list. The batch has responded by also not talking to them. Both sides are fine with this. Neither side will admit it first.

An institution you will hear referenced with unusual gravity. It has a President and a Vice President, both appointed through processes that defy conventional democratic theory. Their jurisdiction, mandate, and actual function remain subjects of active campus debate. What is not debated: both positions are held by men who earned them in ways that have nothing to do with governance. You will understand once you meet them. It will not take long.

A real, agreed-upon, maintained document by the women of this batch identifying men they will not speak to under any circumstances. It is not a joke. It has entries. It has been amended. Two names in this dossier appear on it — one as the founding entry, one in second place. You will figure out which ones within your first week. It will not require investigation.

A specific outdoor location on campus where smokers congregate at all hours. It operates on its own timezone and its own social contract. Multiple people in this dossier will be found there at any given moment. If someone says they are "going to CP," they will be gone between eight minutes and three hours. Do not wait up. Do not send a search party. They will return when the CP releases them.
